manifesto

Read only if your PC can read Draconic -To all Dragonborn A spectre is haunting Annoril—the spectre of a Dragonborn state. A state that, although not yet tangible, is no less present in the hearts and the minds of her people. Indeed, we are a nation of people, without a state, scattered to the four winds and spread over the lands of Annoril. And despite the distance put between us by circumstance, we remain a nation of proud, industrious people bonded together by tradition, honor and pride that stretches back to the glory of Arkhosia. The time has come for these inextricable threads of our lives: shared history, cultural heritage and our common bloodline to be woven together into our future. Political, economical and cultural autonomy—our destiny! Brothers and sisters, do not believe that this will come easy. The world, the powers that be are resistant to change and will try to thwart our attempt to restore ourselves to past glories. There will also be members of the people who are resistant, condescending and counterproductive towards our aim. Dismiss them for what they are, apathetic lackeys of the current hegemony, with a heavy self interest in preserving the status quo. Don’t let them distract us nor derail us in our efforts to restoring our homeland. The transition by which we seek to form our homeland is not an easy one. It will no doubt cost much in the way of blood, sweat and tears—to say nothing of financial investment on the part of the people. The physical act of resurrecting our homeland, however, must be built on a foundation of social change undertaken by all Dragonborn. We must start seeing each other not as strangers of the same race, but as brothers and sisters of the one community with a shared destiny. It is with these things and mind, that I put forth five conditions for our transition: 1. See all Dragonborn as children of Arkhosia with one goal—the resurrection of our homeland. You must spread word of our impending destiny to all our brothers and sisters. 2. Help your brother and sisters out in any way which you can, but do so with honor and prestige, for these are as much your inheritance as are strength and scales. 3. Learn as much as your can about the rich history of the people and ancient Arkhosia as possible. Understanding our past will help us build our future. 4. Reject the inevitable efforts of the powers that be to detract from and derail our cause. 5. Do what you can to further our cause, whether it be endeavors large or small. In the time to come, there will be more word spread on the logistics of settling our homeland and raising our forgotten empire. In the meantime, temper your ambition for our cause so that when the time is right, you will be the iron forged sword needed to conquer our destiny! —Merciless Keeper of Lore, and perhaps one day, more Furrow 20, 2664 CE
